REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Indonesia’s cryptocurrency asset industry continues to develop alongside the increasing number of users and transaction activities. Strengthening infrastructure and literacy are key factors in maintaining healthy and measured growth.

Amid this trend, the Indodax cryptocurrency asset trading platform is expanding its operational office in Bali to boost service capacity. Indodax CEO William Sutanto stated that this step is not only about business expansion but also strengthening the ecosystem that has grown since its inception.

“Bali is not just an expansion location for Indodax. Bali is the birthplace of the Indonesian crypto industry twelve years ago, as well as the initial epicentre of national crypto innovation growth,” said William on Thursday (23/4/2026).

According to him, Bali has a historical role in the journey of the national crypto industry while also becoming one of the centres for community activities and digital innovation.

This operational expansion is carried out to meet the growing needs of users, while also improving service quality. The office will also serve as a hub for user interactions through more responsive customer support services.

In addition to operational functions, Indodax is preparing facilities for educational activities and community collaborations, such as discussions and workshops related to cryptocurrency assets and blockchain technology.

William assessed that industry growth needs to be balanced with increased literacy so that adoption is not only rapid but also measured.

“From Bali, this ecosystem began to grow, develop, and continue to move until it becomes as large as it is today. Therefore, the opening of this office is not just about adding capacity, but also a manifestation of our commitment to continue that history and encourage the Indonesian crypto industry to grow even stronger and healthier,” he said.

Bali is considered to have a strategic position as one of the centres of the digital ecosystem, with the development of communities and international agendas in the crypto and blockchain sectors. Strengthening services and education is seen as key to increasing public trust while maintaining industry stability amid the dynamics of the digital asset market.
