Indonesia's Coal Reference Prices (HBA) for Second June 2026 Period Rise Across the Board

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set the Coal Reference Price (HBA) for sales in the second period of June 2026. In essence, the HBA for this second period uniformly experienced an increase from the first period of June. The policy is stipulated in Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree (Kepmen) Number 253 of 2026 concerning the Reference Metal Mineral Price and Reference Coal Price for the Second Period of June 2026. Within the regulation, the government separates the HBA into four categories. Compared to the HBA in the first period of June, all four coal categories experienced price increases. The following is the list of HBA for the second period of June 2026: Coal (6,322 GAR), unit USD/tonne, value 123.91. Note: HBA in equivalence of calorific value 6,322 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 12.26%, Total Sulphur 0.66%, and Ash 7.94%. Coal I (5,300 GAR), unit USD/tonne, value 88.40. Note: HBA I in equivalence of calorific value 5,300 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32%, Total Sulphur 0.75%, and Ash 6.04%. Coal II (4,100 GAR), unit USD/tonne, value 60.19. Note: HBA II in equivalence of calorific value 4,100 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73%, Total Sulphur 0.23%, and Ash 3.90%. Coal III (3,400 GAR), unit USD/tonne, value 41.19. Note: HBA III in equivalence of calorific value 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 44.30%, Total Sulphur 0.24%, and Ash 3.88%.
