Indonesia's 2025 Investment Realisation Surpasses Target, Reaching Rp1,931 Trillion

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani announced that Indonesia’s investment realisation for 2025 reached Rp1,931.2 trillion, surpassing the government’s target of Rp1,905.6 trillion. Speaking during a working meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Wednesday, Rosan stated that this achievement was accomplished while maintaining accountable and transparent management of state finances and assets.

Throughout 2025, Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN) dominated, contributing Rp1,030.3 trillion or 53.4 percent of the total, while Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) accounted for Rp900.9 trillion. The realised investments created 2.71 million jobs, reflecting a 10.4 percent year-on-year increase in employment absorption. Geographically, investment was more evenly distributed, with regions outside Java attracting Rp991.2 trillion, surpassing the Rp940 trillion invested in Java.

West Java emerged as the top investment destination with Rp296.8 trillion, followed by Jakarta with Rp270.9 trillion, East Java with Rp145.1 trillion, Banten with Rp127.2 trillion, and Central Sulawesi with Rp127.2 trillion. The base metals, metal goods, and non-machinery equipment industry was the leading sub-sector, attracting Rp262 trillion. This was followed by the transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications sector with Rp211 trillion, the mining sector with Rp199.6 trillion, other services with Rp170.5 trillion, and the housing, industrial estate, and office sector with Rp140.4 trillion.

Rosan highlighted that the downstreaming programme remained a key driver, contributing Rp584.1 trillion or 30.2 percent of the total investment realisation.
