Indonesian Umrah Pilgrim Hopes to Return Home on Schedule Amid US-Israel-Iran Conflict
An Indonesian umrah pilgrim, Salsabila (commonly known as Bila), has said she is continuously monitoring her flight situation following heightened tensions between the United States and Israel with Iran. Bila departed for the Holy Land before the US and Israeli strikes on Iran occurred. As her scheduled return to Indonesia approaches within the coming days, she hopes there will be no disruptions to the flight bringing her home.
Bila explained that she left for umrah before the United States and Israel attacked Iran. Her journey to the Holy Land was via Saudi Airlines, flying directly from Indonesia to Madinah.
“Regarding my return to Indonesia, which will be in a few days using Qatar Airways with a transit stop in Qatar,” Bila stated when contacted by Republika.co.id on Monday (2 March).
She said she continues to monitor information daily from the official accounts of the airline she will be using to return home, checking for any potential disruptions. She is also researching alternative airlines in case Qatar Airways experiences delays or flight cancellations.
According to Bila, it is important to keep information about alternative airlines readily available should the originally booked airline experience significant flight delays. Despite her concerns, she remains confident that the reputable airline will provide the best solution, and that Allah SWT will also provide the best outcome for those who place their trust in Him.
