Indonesian Tech Startups Invited to Compete in SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026
Media Note The U.S. Commercial Service Jakarta will host the Indonesia Pitching Competition for technology startups seeking to expand to or invest in the United States as part of the SelectUSA Investment Summit. The Indonesian winner will compete in the World Finals Pitching Competition during the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland, May 3-6, with complimentary registration and roundtrip airfare provided. At the World Competition, startups from around the globe will present their innovations to U.S. venture capitalists, corporate investors, and industry experts, gaining valuable exposure and networking opportunities to accelerate U.S. market entry and growth. The 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, is the premier U.S. event dedicated to promoting business investment, the Summit connects investors, companies, economic development organizations, and industry leaders. Eligible startups must be founded outside the United States, develop innovative technology or deliver existing technology in new ways, and plan to enter or expand into the U.S. market within the next two to three years. Startups must also meet at least one of the following criteria: be established on or after January 1, 2016, employ up to 40 employees, or generate up to $10 million in annual revenue. Each pitch will be limited to six minutes, followed by three minutes of Q&A and feedback from judges. Pitch categories for 2026 include Defense, Energy, Health, ICT/Software, and an “open category.” Applications are due by March 13, 2026, and selected applicants will be notified in April 2026. Indonesian tech startups are encouraged to seize this opportunity to connect with key players in the U.S. startup ecosystem.
