The scholarship provides funding for undergraduate/bachelor’s (S1) and applied bachelor’s (D4) programmes at universities at home and abroad. It targets talents in STEM fields — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — as well as SHARE fields, covering social sciences, humanities, arts, religion, and economics.

“The Indonesian Talent Scholarship reflects the government’s commitment to providing facilitation for outstanding students who have gone through identification and mentoring processes via competitions facilitated by the National Achievement Centre (Puspresnas),” Secretary General of the ministry Suharti said on Friday.

She noted that the programme is part of the Student Talent Management policy and the National Talent Management Grand Design.

“The scholarship serves as a strategic bridge to ensure the continuity of talent development from primary and secondary education to higher education,” she said.

In supporting the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, Suharti emphasised that the programme has a role in strengthening national talents to fill priority development sectors.

Head of Puspresnas Maria Veronica Irene Herdjiono said the scholarship is open to national gold, silver, and bronze medallists, as well as international medallists and honourable mention recipients in competitions organised or facilitated by Puspresnas in 2024 and 2025.

Registration is open online until May 2, 2026, and the programme upholds inclusivity by facilitating persons with disabilities.

Meanwhile, LPDP Scholarship Director Dwi Larso said the scholarship is important to help outstanding students pursue higher education through collaboration with the ministry.
