Indonesian Students Return to School with Renewed Vigour for New Academic Year

Students across Indonesia have returned to school with great enthusiasm and renewed hope, dressed in neat uniforms and carrying learning equipment to begin their educational journey in new grades. The School Environment Introduction Period (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah or MPLS), which new students attend to adapt to the school environment, facilities, and culture, was filled with enjoyable activities to boost spirits on the first day of school. Based on a policy from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, MPLS is now required to adopt child-friendly and environmentally friendly concepts.
