It is sad to think that many current, popular Indonesian songs
originate from foreign songs. For example, the song Denpasar Moon
is sung in dangdut and many other styles of music. The children's
song Ular Putih is taken from the film White Snake. There are
many more of these kind of songs around.

I don't know whether such things are legal as far as copy
right is concerned. I think Indonesian composers should compose
and produce songs of quality themselves, instead of copying other
people's works of art.
