Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) area continues to offer a variety of complete and comfortable facilities for visitors. Various amenities and engaging activities are available to provide an enjoyable and informative experience for those who come.

Special Staff to the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communications and Spokesperson for the IKN Authority, Troy Pantouw, stated that the various facilities available in the IKN area are part of efforts to provide the best service to the public.

“With the increasing completeness of the facilities available, we want to ensure that the public can enjoy their visit to IKN comfortably, safely, and memorably. Not only as the future government centre, IKN is also presented as an inclusive and educational public space for all levels of society,” Troy said in a written statement, quoted on Wednesday (25/03/2026).

Along the Ceremony Plaza in the Government Centre area, visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary options. From restaurants, cafes, mini markets, to UMKM tents and stalls offering a range of light snacks, food, and drinks.

In addition, Nusantara Park features an entertainment stage showcasing music and dance performances that run throughout the afternoon until evening, creating a lively and entertaining atmosphere.

For those who want to learn more about IKN, they can visit the Sentra Massa building, which houses the Nusantara Information Centre. Inside, there is a mini theatre screening videos on the progress of IKN’s development journey, a mini control centre with weather monitors, environmental conditions, and traffic, as well as a model of buildings around the Ceremony Plaza. Additionally, there are photo booth corners, UMKM product exhibitions, and interactive robots that distribute brochures to visitors.

For children and families, various traditional games such as engrang, sack races, and gobak sodor can be enjoyed in the amphitheatre area in front of the Sentra Massa, located directly opposite the IKN State Palace.

Visitors can also take photos in the glamping area and the glass bridge, which offers views of IKN from atop the hill. Meanwhile, a relaxed and lush atmosphere can be enjoyed in the Embung MBH area, not far from the Ceremony Plaza.

The beauty of Plaza Bhinneka, located in front of the IKN Authority office (the round building), is also a special attraction. In this area, there are statues of Bung Karno and Bung Hatta, as well as the Zero Point marker as a symbol of the union of Land and Water during the IKN groundbreaking on 14 March 2022.

For visitors who want to spend more time, accommodation facilities such as the Swissotel and Qubika Hotel are available, which also host various interesting events. In addition, the Sepaku area offers various dining options, lodging, general stores, and traditional markets.

Visitors can also explore tourist destinations around IKN, such as Goa Tapak Raja, Tembinus Waterfall, and other tourist spots.

As one of the main icons, visitors should not miss the opportunity to take photos at the Pillar of the IKN State Palace with the requirement to wear shoes, dress modestly, and only allowed until 17:00 WITA. Access to IKN from Balikpapan via toll road is open from 06:00 to 17:00 WITA.

Troy explained that public enthusiasm to see the direct development of IKN continues to increase throughout the Eid holidays.

“Up to Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the number of vehicles entering the IKN area reached 30,544 vehicles with 143,126 visitors,” Troy revealed.

One international tourist from Taiwan, Snow, expressed her admiration for Nusantara and even hopes to one day reside there.

“In the future, Nusantara will become the Capital City. I see a lot of Eid celebrations here. I really want to move here when Nusantara truly becomes the Capital City,” Snow said.

Not only foreign tourists, people from various regions in Indonesia also felt a deep impression when visiting IKN. One of them, Florensia from Banjarmasin, admitted to being impressed with the sustainable development concept in Nusantara.

“When entering IKN, I was very amazed because all the buildings are green buildings. It feels like I’m no longer in Kalimantan because it’s so eco-friendly. I hope IKN continues to develop and doesn’t lag behind cities on Java Island,” Florensia said.

She also urged the public to maintain order and cleanliness while in the IKN area so that shared comfort can be maintained.

The IKN Authority also appeals to all visitors to jointly maintain the Nusantara area to remain orderly, clean, and sustainable. Visitors are asked not to step on grass, plants, or pick flowers, and not to damage green areas including trees and other plants around the Ceremony Plaza or other locations. In addition, visitors are expected not to damage the facilities and equipment available in the IKN area.

Active public participation is highly expected to realise Nusantara Capital City as a comfortable, beloved city, and a model city that emphasises the concept of a green city and environmental sustainability.

To enjoy the atmosphere around the Ceremony Plaza, the public can visit until 21:00 WITA every day. The presence of these various facilities is hoped to provide comfort as well as memorable experiences for the public visiting the Nusantara Capital City.
