Indonesian President Provides Sacrificial Cattle to Wasiatul Islam Mosque for Eid al-Adha

Thirty-eight cattle are allocated for mosques, two for musallas, one for the Deputy Regent’s residence, and two for the Malinau Regency Office.

Malinau, North Kalimantan - President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Prabowo Subianto has provided sacrificial cattle for Wasiatul Islam Mosque in Seluwing Village, Malinau Kota Subdistrict, Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan Province, for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Gregorian Eid al-Adha.

The presidential assistance was delivered via the Malinau Regency Government at Darul Jalal Grand Mosque in Malinau Kota Subdistrict on Monday morning.

“Earlier, we learned that one cow donated by President Prabowo Subianto is for Wasiatul Islam Mosque in Seluwing. This is a trust and a sign of the central government’s attention to Malinau’s community,” said Malinau Deputy Regent Jakaria.

Jakaria expressed gratitude for President Prabowo Subianto’s continued support of Malinau’s Muslim community ahead of this year’s Eid sacrifice.

“We hope such assistance will continue in future years,” Jakaria added.

During the handover ceremony, accompanied by Malinau Regency Secretary Ernes Silvanus, Deputy Regent Jakaria also symbolically handed over 43 cattle from the Malinau Regency Government.

“Despite limited budget conditions, the regency government is committed to providing services and attention to the public,” he stated.

Malinau Regency Islamic Holiday Committee (PHBI) Chairman Dedi Heriyanto said the committee procured 43 cattle for this year’s sacrificial animals.

“Thirty-eight cattle are allocated for mosques, two for musallas, one for the Deputy Regent’s residence, and two for the Malinau Regency Office,” he explained.

All sacrificial animals were sourced from the Malinau Regency 2026 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), managed by the PHBI committee with a total budget of Rp1.061 billion.
