Indonesian President Prabowo pays zakat al-fitr at State Palace

Upon arriving at the venue at 4:10 p.m. local time, President Prabowo promptly approached a desk to fulfill the obligation, which is mandatory for all able Muslims before Eid al-Fitr.

Afterward, the president chaired a plenary meeting of the Red and White Cabinet to discuss government preparations for Eid activities and mobility, as well as updates on disaster recovery efforts in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

In addition to Prabowo, the Baznas facilitated zakat payments from Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who paid the charity 10 minutes earlier, along with cabinet ministers and leaders of state institutions.

The senior officials included Trade Minister Budi Santoso, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana.
