The emphasis is reflected in the Traffic Corps’ tagline for this year’s homecoming: “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family,” which is scheduled to be launched on March 3, 2026.

Suryonugroho, in a statement received here on Monday, said the tagline signifies that travel safety is the key to happiness when gathering with family during the holiday period.

He urged all Indonesians to make their homecoming journeys safe, orderly, and mindful, with safety as the top priority.

“Safety is a shared responsibility. Orderliness on the road determines the safety of yourself and others,” Suryonugroho said.

He added that Eid homecoming holiday period is not merely an annual tradition but also a sacred moment to strengthen family ties.

Therefore, he advised the public to prepare thoroughly, ensuring physical readiness, roadworthy vehicles, and complete driving documents.

He also reminded travelers of the importance of traffic discipline, obeying signs and officers’ directions, and avoiding pushing oneself when fatigued.

The Police, together with all stakeholders, have prepared traffic management, security posts, and integrated services to ensure smooth travel.

Through synergy between officers and the public, the homecoming and return trips are expected to run smoothly, minimize accidents, and foster orderly conditions.

“Let’s ensure a safe homecoming so families are happy and Eid celebrations are truly memorable,” he said.

The implementation of contra flow and one-way traffic measures will be situational, taking into account actual vehicle volume, he added.
