Indonesian Police Extradite Kresna Life Fugitive Michael Steven from Morocco

The Indonesian National Police, through its International Relations Division, has successfully extradited Interpol Red Notice fugitive Michael Steven, an Indonesian citizen, from the Kingdom of Morocco. Michael Steven is the owner of the Kresna Life group.

This was confirmed by Brigadier General Dr. Untung Widyatmoko, Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia at the Police International Relations Division, citing the success as a result of cooperation with the Ministry of Law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Intelligence Agency, and Moroccan authorities. Steven was previously arrested by Moroccan police.

“The success of this extradition demonstrates the effectiveness of the Indonesian National Police’s international cooperation through the Interpol network and the support of various related agencies. The Police are committed to continuing to pursue and bring back fugitives who flee abroad to face legal accountability,” said Untung, as quoted from the official site on Monday evening (22/6/2026).

Michael Steven is a suspect in alleged capital market crimes, fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering related to Kresna Life, a case handled by the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police. The case is suspected to have caused investor losses of approximately Rp337.4 billion. Following his extradition, Steven will be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Directorate to undergo further legal proceedings.
