Indonesian Navy Strengthens Ties with Friendly Nations Through Shooting Event
The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) is striving to strengthen diplomatic relations with 29 friendly nations through a ‘Fun Shooting’ event held at the Jusman Puger Shooting Range, Cilandak, South Jakarta.
According to a press statement released in Jakarta on Wednesday, the event, held on Tuesday (1/9), was organised to reinforce connections between military attachés both formally and informally.
“The Navy highly values its relationship with the armed forces and navies of friendly nations. Informal interactions such as this provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication, deepen mutual understanding, and build trust,” stated the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL), Admiral Muhammad Ali, during the opening of the event.
Admiral Ali expressed his belief that by establishing good personal relationships among attachés, the relationships between the nations they represent will become increasingly close and strong over time.
He continued, noting that the attachés represented a diverse range of countries, including the United States, the United/United Kingdom, China, Russia, France, and Germany, as well as neighbouring nations within the Southeast Asian region.
Ali noted that the participants appeared enthusiastic, as evidenced by the competitive spirit displayed during the competition.
Records show that Colonel Vitor Hugo Bergamaschi from Brazil secured first place, followed by Colonel Ahmed Saeed Alketbi from the United Arab Emirates in second, and Col Erwan Lintang from France in third. Furthermore, Colonel Vitor Hugo Bergamaschi demonstrated his precision once again by clinching the title in the Plate Duel shooting category.
Admiral Ali expressed his hope that this activity would further strengthen Indonesia’s relationship with its friendly nations.
