Indonesian Navy and ANTARA Strengthen Cooperation in News Reporting
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Information Service of the Indonesian Navy (Dispenal) is strengthening cooperation in the field of news reporting with the National News Agency (LKBN) ANTARA.
The strengthening of cooperation took place when the Dispenal Chief, First Admiral TNI Tunggul, visited the LKBN ANTARA office on Jalan ANTARA, Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.
Tunggul’s arrival was directly received by the Director of News of LKBN ANTARA, Virgandhi Prayudantoro, and his team.
Tunggul explained that this cooperation is highly strategic for the Indonesian Navy because through ANTARA, they can publicise all the positive activities carried out by the Indonesian Navy.
“This publication aims to build a positive image of the Indonesian Navy, which includes providing explanations to the public about the activities we carry out in support of national development,” said Tunggul.
Tunggul hopes that this cooperation can run well to strengthen Dispenal’s role as the main mouthpiece for information regarding the Indonesian Navy.
At the same time, Virgandhi appreciated the intention of cooperation from Dispenal. According to Virgandhi, ANTARA is the right party to strengthen Dispenal’s role in news reporting.
According to him, ANTARA has special educational facilities, namely the Antara Journalism School, which aims to provide training in news writing and packaging.
“We can cooperate with Dispenal to improve the quality of human resources in Dispenal because that is an important part of the Indonesian Navy’s information service,” said Virgandhi.
“ANTARA has potential and is qualified in journalism; we think this is a momentum where we can cooperate well,” he added.
