Indonesian Nationals Detained by Israel Rise to Seven

According to the latest information (19:50 WIB), the number of Indonesian nationals detained by Israel has increased, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahd Nabyl Achmad Mulachela to reporters on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. He said there are 9 Indonesian nationals who are part of the humanitarian mission toward Gaza. Seven of them have been detained by Israel, while the other two are aboard the Kasr 1 Sadabat. “Of the total 9 Indonesian nationals who are members of Global Peace Convoy Indonesia (GPCI) affiliated with the GSF 2.0 mission, seven are now reported to have been detained. Meanwhile, the other 2 Indonesian nationals are known to still be aboard the Kasr 1 Sadabat,” he said. Vahd noted the on-the-ground situation is currently highly precarious and dynamic. The two Indonesians still at sea are continuing to sail but could at any time face the same fate. “The two Indonesians still sailing remain in a vulnerable state and could at any time experience interception or arrest by the Israeli military,” he said. The relevant Indonesian representatives are now on full standby to monitor developments on the ground.
