Indonesian National Police Support Peatland Forest Fire Suppression with X-Fire

The Central Kalimantan Regional Police have received support from the Indonesian National Police Headquarters in efforts to handle forest and land fires (karhutla) in the peatland areas of Palangka Raya.

This support includes the use of a specialised fire-extinguishing liquid made of surfactants, known as X-Fire, which is considered effective in assisting the wetting process down to the pores of the peat. The use of X-Fire was directly tested by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police forest fire team at Jalan Manduhara Ujung, Kereng Bangkirai Village, Palangka Raya, on Wednesday (16/9).
