Indonesian National Police Holds Cross-Sectoral Meeting to Discuss Impact of Global Conflict Escalation
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) held a cross-sectoral coordination meeting to discuss anticipatory measures against the impact of escalating global conflicts on the national situation at the Main Building of Polri Headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, the Minister of Manpower Yassierli, the Head of the Central Statistics Agency Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and the Chair of the Financial Services Authority Friderica Widyasari Dewi.
Representatives from Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Home Affairs, PT Pertamina (Persero), and Perum BULOG were also present.
The Police Chief stated that the overview from the policymakers, in this case the leaders of institutions, ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and heads of agencies, is important and strategic for maintaining national stability, particularly the economic growth which, according to him, is already at 5 percent.
The government, added General Sigit, will push for continued economic growth and ensure that various programmes and policies of President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita continue to run.
The Police Chief hopes that with this cross-sectoral coordination meeting, efforts to maintain national resilience can be maximised.
“We remain vigilant against the existing escalation so that all achievements that have been implemented and carried out by the government can continue to be maintained,” he said.
