Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) held a ceremony for the promotion of senior Polri officers on Thursday at the Rupatama Building of Polri Headquarters in Jakarta. In the ceremony, 47 Polri personnel officially received promotions. One personnel was promoted to the rank of Commissioner General (Komjen) of Police, 14 personnel to the rank of Inspector General (Irjen) of Police, and 32 personnel to the rank of Brigadier General (Brigjen) of Police, including two personnel for exceptional promotions (KPLB). Polri’s Head of Public Relations, Irjen Pol. Johnny Eddizon Isir, in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, conveyed that this promotion is a form of institutional appreciation for the dedication, performance, and service of the senior Polri officers. “This promotion is not only a form of appreciation but also a mandate and greater responsibility to continue enhancing professionalism, integrity, and service to the public,” he said. Meanwhile, several officers promoted to Irjen include Irjen Pol. Alfred Papare as the West Papua Police Chief, Irjen Pol. Moffan Moedji Kawanti as the Main Police Auditor Level I of the Police Internal Affairs Supervisory Unit (Itwasum) of Polri, and Irjen Pol. Asep Guntur Rahayu, who currently serves as Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia. For promotions to Brigjen, there are dozens of officers holding various strategic positions, including Central Papua Police Chief Brigjen Pol. Jermias Rontini and Deputy Papua Police Chief Brigjen Pol. Muhajir. In addition, two personnel received exceptional promotions to Brigjen: Brigjen Pol. Sambas Kurniawan and Brigjen Pol. Medyanta.
