Indonesian National Police Dismantle 1XBET Online Gambling Ring, Five Suspects Arrested

The Cyber Crime Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) has dismantled an online gambling case involving the website 1XBET. The operations of this online gambling website are centred abroad.

In this case, five individuals have been named as suspects.

The Director of Cyber Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Adex Yudiswan, stated that the case was uncovered following three separate police reports.

“In the disclosure of the 1XBET online gambling practice, it was found that this gambling website operates both nationally and internationally. Based on the in-depth investigation conducted by investigators, it was discovered that the operational control centre for the entire website is located abroad,” said Adex at Bareskrim Polri on Thursday, 3 September 2026.

Adex explained that the five suspects are identified as APU, MAY, R, GG, and TS. The suspects were arrested at different times and locations.

According to Adex, suspect APU was apprehended on 15 July 20lar 2026 in Semarang, Central Java, and acted as an individual receiving orders from suspect R, as well as serving as a liaison for suspect MAY, the Director of PT Ultra Payment Terpercaya.

“Suspect MAY was apprehended on 15 July 2026 in Semarang. Their role was as the Director of PT UPT, a company used to collect funds from deposit transactions. Evidence seized from suspects APU and MAY includes mobile phones and payment records/company incorporation documents,” he revealed.

Furthermore, suspect R was apprehended on 13 July 2026 in South Tangerang, along with mobile phones as evidence.

It was discovered that suspect R played the role of the party instructing APU to find a fictitious director for PT Ultra Payment Terpercaya and to open corporate bank accounts used for the gambling websites 1XBET, AJ8KEREN, and EMPIRE88.

“Suspect GG was apprehended by investigators on 13 July 2026 in East Jakarta. Their role was to handle all forms of legality for PT Ultra Payment Terpercaya and had also instructed suspect R to find a company director. Evidence seized includes two mobile phones,” he said.

Subsequently, the team continued their investigation and apprehended suspect TS on 20 July 2026 in South Tangerang. The role of suspect TS was to manage the financial transactions of the fictitious company used for the websites 1XBET, AJ8KEREN, and Empire88.
