Indonesian National Police Criminal Bureau Conducts Raid on PT Simba Jaya Utama over Illegal Gold Mining

The Special Economic Crime Directorate (Dit Tipideksus) of the National Police Criminal Bureau (Bareskrim Polri) conducted an investigation into alleged criminal offences in the mineral and coal sector involving illegal gold mining and money laundering (TPPU) linked to the company.

Police identification teams attended the scene during the raid at PT Simba Jaya Utama located at Berbek Industrial Zone in Waru, Sidoarjo, East Java on Thursday 12 March 2026. Investigators collected evidence in plastic containers during the operation. Police personnel were stationed at the site throughout the raid to secure the premises.

The Special Economic Crime Directorate is pursuing the case as part of its efforts to combat organised criminal activity in Indonesia’s extractive industries and illicit financial flows.
