Jakarta — The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has disclosed details of a horse riding simulator training facility operated by the Directorate of Animal Police (Ditpolsatwa) under the National Police Headquarters Traffic and Transportation Corps.

The horse riding simulator is utilised by Ditpolsatwa personnel for training purposes, as explained by the Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir.

“There are four simulator units for basic horsemanship training,” he stated on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

He elaborated that one simulator unit is designed for learning walking, trotting, and galloping. Another unit is used for learning jumping or obstacle jumping. The remaining two units are dedicated to learning racing techniques.

“The horse riding simulator training facility is exclusively available at the Directorate of Animal Police under the Police Headquarters,” Isir said.

Isir noted that each horse riding simulator unit costs 1 billion rupiah, funded through the 2016 budget allocation.

“The horse riding simulator was budgeted under the 2016 fiscal year allocation,” he added.
