Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have disclosed that an Indonesian citizen (WNI), who was arrested in the case of an international online gambling (judol) network at Hayam Wuruk Plaza Tower in Jakarta, previously worked in Cambodia. “The individual is a former or had worked in Cambodia. So, he came here (Jakarta) and also worked here again,” said the Director of General Criminal Acts (Dirtipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Polri, Brigadier General Pol. Wira Satya Triputra, in Jakarta on Sunday. This information was obtained after police conducted an examination of the Indonesian citizen. Wira added that the police are still delving into the role of the Indonesian citizen in the international online gambling network that was arrested at Hayam Wuruk Plaza Tower. “The role of the Indonesian citizen will still be checked again, but for sure, he is a customer service (worker in customer service, ed.) for the time being,” he said. The 320 foreign nationals arrested consist of 228 Vietnamese citizens, 57 Chinese citizens, 13 Myanmar citizens, 11 Laotian citizens, five Thai citizens, three Malaysian citizens, and three Cambodian citizens. Meanwhile, another one is an Indonesian citizen and is being further processed at Bareskrim Polri.
