Jakarta — The Commander of the Indonesian Military, General Agus Subiyanto, has deployed 105,365 personnel to maintain security across the nation during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period.

“In this regard, the TNI is preparing 105,365 personnel for holiday travel security,” said Agus during a press conference following a troop review at Monas Circle in Central Jakarta on Thursday.

Agus explained that thousands of troops have been positioned at multiple key locations throughout the holiday travel routes, including terminals, airports, railway stations, and major highways.

TNI personnel have also been deployed to protect various vital installations in major cities during the Eid holiday period.

Beyond personnel deployment, the TNI has also mobilised thousands of vehicles and major weapons systems across land, sea, and air operations to secure the travel corridors during the holiday period.

“A total of 3,501 vehicles have been deployed, including land-based vehicles such as ambulances, naval vessels, and other transport,” he explained.

Agus assured that all personnel and military assets would remain deployed not only during the outbound holiday travel period but also throughout the return journey phase.

With the deployment of personnel and military assets, Agus expressed confidence that the 2026 Eid holiday travel period would proceed smoothly and in an orderly manner.
