South Lampung — TNI personnel have begun the construction of four Garuda Pioneer bridges in South Lampung Regency as part of an effort to improve connectivity and facilitate transportation access for rural communities.

The Commander of the 0421/South Lampung Military District Command, Lieutenant Colonel Kav Mochammad Nuril Ambiyah, stated on Saturday that the bridge construction is part of a joint programme between the TNI and local governments to support the acceleration of infrastructure development for public benefit.

“This is part of an integrated programme being carried out simultaneously at four strategic points in South Lampung Regency. The four construction sites are located in Talang Way Sulan Village, Karya Tunggal Village in Katibung District, Purwosari Village in Natar District, and Bandar Dalam Village in Sidomulyo District,” he said.

He explained that these four bridge construction sites are situated in areas that have long required more adequate connecting access, particularly to support the daily activities of the community.

During the construction process, TNI personnel are also involving village governments and local residents through communal work (gotong royong) to accelerate the completion of the project.

“This infrastructure development is a concrete step towards boosting inter-regional connectivity and smoothing the daily mobility of local residents,” he added.

He further detailed that the concrete bridge being built at one of the sites in Talang Way Sulan Village has a length of 8 metres and a width of 3.5 metres. With these specifications, the team is moving swiftly, targeting the project’s completion within one month so that the benefits can be immediately felt by the citizens.

“We aim to complete the construction of these bridges within one month so that the community can immediately utilise them to support their daily activities,” he concluded.
