Head of the Jembrana Labour and Industry Department, Kadek Mirah Ananta Sukma Dewi, confirmed the tragic news. Initial data indicates the deceased worked in the livestock sector in Ibaraki, Japan. “We received information from the family. Following coordination with the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo, the PMI identified as I Kadek Mas Heriadi was working in the livestock sector in Ibaraki,” Mirah stated when contacted by detikBali on Monday, 25 May 2026.

Mirah explained that the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo is still verifying the data, including full identity validation and the exact circumstances of the death of the migrant worker from Gumi Makepung.
