Indonesian Investors Increasingly Eye US Stock Tokens, PINTU Reports Positive Growth
PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), a crypto asset investment platform licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), has recorded significant growth in trading activity for tokenised assets based on US stocks throughout the second quarter of 2026. Compared to the previous quarter, the number of active traders in the US Stocks Tokenized Assets category increased by 18 per cent, the number of transactions rose 17 per cent, and trading volume grew by 11 per cent. PINTU assesses that this growth aligns with rising investor interest in index-based and exchange-traded fund (ETF) instruments as part of a digital asset portfolio diversification strategy.
PINTU President Director Andy Putra stated that the broad-based growth across all key indicators shows increasing investor appetite for tokenised real-world assets (RWA). “The evenly distributed growth across all main indicators in Q2 2026 shows that RWA-based tokens, particularly tokenised US stocks, are increasingly becoming a choice as part of the diversification strategy for crypto investors and traders in Indonesia. The 18 per cent quarter-on-quarter increase in active traders indicates an expanding investor base,” he said.
The Nasdaq-100 ETF token recorded a trading volume surge of 115 per cent, with the number of active traders soaring 196 per cent compared to the previous quarter. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 ETF token posted a volume increase of 74 per cent and active trader growth of 160 per cent. Andy assessed that this trend reflects increasingly mature investor behaviour in selecting investment instruments. “The significantly greater interest in index ETFs compared to single stocks is a positive signal of maturity. Investors are no longer just chasing one popular name, but are beginning to utilise tokenisation to gain more diversified exposure to the US stock market as a whole,” he said.
Increases were also seen in tokens based on individual stocks, including Circle (CRCLX) which rose 60 per cent, Microsoft (MSFTX) up 39 per cent, and a silver commodity-based token which also increased by 39 per cent. PINTU believes the growth across various asset types indicates that investor interest in RWA is no longer focused on a single sector but has broadened to multiple asset classes. “This quarter’s trend confirms that the availability of diverse RWA asset choices, supported by proper education, can drive healthy RWA adoption. However, we always remind investors that tokenised assets remain investment instruments that carry risk, so investors need to thoroughly study and understand the characteristics, potential returns, and risks of each asset before transacting,” he concluded. PINTU currently offers a range of tokenised assets including global company stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, Meta, Netflix, Tesla, Alphabet, AMD, and Circle, as well as commodity-based assets like gold, providing more diversification options for investors in Indonesia.
