Indonesian Idol Singer Arrested for Sexual Assault of High School Girl in Belu

Petrus Yohannes Debrito Armando Jaga Kota, known as Piche Kota, an Indonesian Idol contestant, has been formally detained by Belu Police Resort in East Nusa Tenggara on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. Piche Kota was detained following medical clearance from a vertigo condition.

“At 01:39 Wita this morning, the Criminal Investigation Unit of Belu Police Resort carried out the detention of the suspect identified by the initials PK,” said Belu Police Chief AKBP I Gede Eka Putra Astawa.

Astawa explained that the detention was carried out following a bail review and extended detention procedure. Piche Kota is currently being held at Belu Police Resort cells for further legal proceedings.

According to Astawa, the detention was implemented after police assessed his health condition on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, which was declared improved by the medical team. Medical treatment at the hospital had been completed.

As previously reported, Piche Kota is accused of sexually assaulting a high school student with the initials ACT, aged 16, in Belu. Piche Kota allegedly committed the assault together with two associates, Roy Mali and Rifal Sila. Roy Mali and Rifal Sila were detained earlier by police.

“The case has progressed to stage one, and investigators are currently following up on the P19 notice issued by Belu District Prosecution on Tuesday, 10 March 2026,” Astawa stated.
