Indonesian Hybrid MPV: Innova Zenix Leads Early 2026 Sales
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The electrified MPV segment in Indonesia is beginning to show signs of activity in early 2026.
Several full hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models are starting to record sales, although conventional hybrid models still dominate.
These figures indicate that full hybrid MPVs remain the primary choice for consumers looking to switch to electrified vehicles without sacrificing practicality.
The Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid leads with sales of 1,057 units.
Then, the Toyota Veloz Hybrid recorded sales of 484 units.
Although they are not yet widely seen on the roads.
Meanwhile, the new player, the Wuling Confero Darion PHEV, was distributed in 166 units.
The presence of plug-in hybrid technology offers an alternative for consumers who want to experience the sensation of electric driving with the flexibility of a conventional engine.
In the boxy MPV segment, the Honda Step WGN e:HEV booked sales of 70 units.
This model relies on cabin comfort and the efficiency typical of Honda’s hybrid system.
Then, the Nissan Serena e-POWER recorded sales of 35 units.
The e-POWER technology, which relies on an electric motor as the main drive, offers a unique appeal, although volumes remain limited.
This is inseparable from the strong brand and extensive after-sales service network.
