Indonesian House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Sari Yuliati Inspects NTB Hajj Pilgrims in Mecca

Deputy Speaker of Indonesia’s House of Representatives Sari Yuliati visited the hotel where 2026 Hajj pilgrims from Lombok and Mataram are accommodated in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The visit was part of monitoring the 2026 Hajj arrangements and ensuring adequate services for the pilgrims. During the visit, she inspected the Hajj group from West Nusa Tenggara Province and directly listened to feedback and suggestions from pilgrims regarding services during their stay in the Holy Land. ‘We have received various inputs and suggestions from pilgrims originating from West Nusa Tenggara Province,’ she said. ‘Alhamdulillah, the complaints from the group there are minimal, mainly concerning meal variety,’ she added. Some key concerns raised by pilgrims include the need for better welfare of Hajj officials to ensure optimal service delivery. These suggestions will be discussed in a meeting with the Hajj Minister and the Ministry of Hajj to find the best solutions for improving future Hajj services. ‘Following this, we will meet with the Hajj Minister and the Ministry of Hajj to consolidate all pilgrim feedback for discussion and to find the best solutions,’ she said. Sari Yuliati also stressed that all parties must uphold their trust in organising the Hajj and not exploit the sincerity of pilgrims fulfilling their religious duties. ‘When pilgrims perform their duties with sincerity, that sincerity must not be taken advantage of by neglecting their welfare and comfort during the pilgrimage,’ she said. She expressed hope that all Indonesian pilgrims would perform the Hajj rites smoothly, devoutly, and in good health until their return home. ‘We hope pilgrims can perform their rites in good health and with focus, ensuring all Hajj obligations are fulfilled. May the Indonesian pilgrims’ worship be accepted by Allah SWT, making them successful hajjis who return home safely and unharmed,’ she said. During the visit, Sari Yuliati also boosted morale among Lombok and Mataram pilgrims by distributing fruits and pocket money as a gesture of support during their holy rites.
