Purwokerto (ANTARA) - Indonesian House of Representatives member Siti Mukaromah has stressed the importance of synergy between Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) cadres and the government in supporting development and services to the public. “I see the togetherness built today as an important asset to strengthen synergy between NU cadres, the government, and all elements of society,” she said during a break at the Silaturahmi and Halalbihalal event of the Extended Family of the Banyumas District NU Branch Management (PCNU) in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java, on Friday afternoon. She stated that the Halalbihalal momentum in the month of Syawal provides an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood while reinforcing commitment to serving the organisation, the nation, and the community. As an NU cadre who has progressed from autonomous bodies to the present, the legislator, affectionately known as Erma, admitted to having a moral responsibility to continue upholding values of togetherness and making real contributions to society. She assessed that the presence of executive and legislative figures at the event reflects shared concern and commitment to regional development. “This is an important part so that NU cadres can position themselves as part of the solution in development and public services,” said the member of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Central Java VIII electoral district (Banyumas-Cilacap). She also emphasised the importance of opening spaces for introspection and accepting input as efforts to strengthen the role of NU cadres amid national dynamics. She hopes that the spirit of togetherness built in the event can be continuously maintained and realised in concrete steps that provide broad benefits to the community, especially in Banyumas Regency.
