This represents an excellent sustainable promotional platform to provide opportunities for Indonesian UMKM to enter the regional, even global, food and beverage industry supply chain.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) through the Trade Attaché in Singapore recorded that products such as honey, organic spices, and various foods and beverages secured 14 export contracts worth US$3.17 million or approximately Rp54.5 billion at the Food and Hospitality Asia (FHA) 2026 in Singapore Expo, Singapore.
In its official statement on Thursday, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Singapore stated that the Indonesian Pavilion featured 40 companies of micro, small, and medium-sized producers and exporters (UMKM).
The Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, conveyed that amid global trade uncertainties, it is important for the government and all trade stakeholders to be present to support UMKM, from coaching, financing, to promotion to global export markets.
During the four-day exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion was visited by more than 6,012 visitors and secured 14 export contracts worth US$3.17 million or approximately Rp54.5 billion.
Director General of National Export Development at Kemendag, Fajarini Puntodewi, said that the participation of the Indonesian Pavilion in this event is a sustainable promotional platform.
“This is an excellent sustainable promotional platform to provide opportunities for Indonesian UMKM to enter the regional, even global, food and beverage industry supply chain,” she stated.
Fajarini added that food and beverage products are one of the main pillars of Indonesia’s industry that have supported national exports over the past five years.
Kemendag is also encouraging sustainable promotional efforts through strengthening cooperation with Bank Indonesia (BI), the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), and other sectors, synergistically to support Indonesian food and beverage UMKM in penetrating regional and global supply chains.
