JAKARTA - PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA), a healthcare distribution and services listed company, is expanding its regional business network through a healthcare product distribution collaboration in Cambodia with Japanese pharmaceutical company Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Through its subsidiary, Dynamic Argon Co., Ltd. (DAC), MDLA has launched Salonpas Pain Relief Patch and Salonsip Gel-Patch for the Cambodian market. The collaboration will take effect from 1 May 2026. “With advanced formulation and transdermal drug delivery technology, these products provide effective pain relief while minimising common side effects associated with oral painkillers,” said Hiramatsu Taro, Head of International Division at Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, in a press release on Monday (25/5/2026). The official launch was held at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh on 16 May 2026, attended by representatives from Cambodia’s Ministry of Health, the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia, healthcare professionals, business partners, and executives from Hisamitsu, Dynamic Group, and Dynamic Argon. In his speech, the Cambodian Ministry of Health representative highlighted growing public health awareness and the need for accessible, safe, and user-friendly self-care solutions. The collaboration expands DAC’s role as a healthcare product distributor in Cambodia. Products will be distributed through DAC’s network, including pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, wholesalers, modern trade retailers, and regional markets across Cambodia. “Our partnership with Hisamitsu aligns with Dynamic Argon’s long-term commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of Cambodian society,” said Ivan. “This collaboration is not just about business growth, but also about expanding public access to quality healthcare products across Cambodia,” he added. Dynamic Argon Co., Ltd. Director Budi Lim added that the collaboration reflects growing global healthcare companies’ confidence in Cambodia’s healthcare distribution ecosystem. “Through strong collaboration between regional and local partners, we believe Cambodia has significant potential to expand access to high-quality healthcare products,” said Budi. “This partnership with Hisamitsu also reflects the strength of the healthcare distribution ecosystem built by Dynamic Argon,” he added. “With over four decades of healthcare sector experience, PT Medela Potentia Tbk, through its joint venture ecosystem including Dynamic Argon, remains committed to strengthening healthcare access and bringing trusted global healthcare innovations closer to Cambodian communities,” said Juliwaty. For context, PT Medela Potentia Tbk has operated in the healthcare sector for over 45 years. The company has several business entities, including PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), PT Deca Metric Medica (DMM), and PT Djembatan Dua (DD). In addition to expanding regional business through Dynamic Argon Co., Ltd., the company is also developing digital healthcare services via the GoApotik and GPOS ecosystems. In 2025, MDLA reported a 16% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rp 398.1 billion, supported by revenue of Rp 14.89 trillion. The performance was driven by strengthened distribution systems, operational optimisation, and the addition of eight new principals, including prescription drugs, consumer health products, and medical devices. In Q1 2026, the company continued its healthcare ecosystem strengthening strategy through regional distribution expansion, logistics infrastructure development, and digital healthcare business growth. Growth drivers included pharmaceutical and medical device distribution, strengthening of own-brand medical devices, and expansion of the GoApotik and GPOS digital platforms, which enhance the company’s healthcare service network.
