Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Begin Return Home Tomorrow
Indonesian Hajj pilgrims are scheduled to return home from 1 June after the peak phase of Hajj in Mina officially concluded on 13 Dzulhijjah 1447, or Saturday (30 May). Minister of Hajj and Umrah Moch. Irfan Yusuf said Indonesian pilgrims will return in phases from 1 to 30 June. ‘From 1 June, the process of pilgrims returning to Indonesia will take place gradually until 30 June,’ Irfan said, as quoted by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s official website on Sunday (31 May). Irfan urged pilgrims to maintain their health and get adequate rest before returning to Indonesia. Although the Mina phase has ended, he advised that services for Hajj pilgrims should continue as some still need to complete tawaf ifadah and other rituals before returning. Irfan also instructed the Hajj Service Personnel (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia to continue accompanying pilgrims who have not yet performed tawaf ifadah. He added that such assistance is crucial to manage crowding in the tawaf area and ensure elderly and high-risk groups receive priority attention. On the occasion, Irfan expressed appreciation to all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims for their cooperation and compliance with officials’ instructions during the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina phases. Following the completion of these processes, the Ministry of Hajj will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all service stages to improve future Hajj arrangements.
