Indonesian Hajj officers for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 season have been hailed as role models for many countries, according to Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak. He stated that the success of this year’s Hajj organisation was largely due to the dedication of officers who worked responsively, empathetically, and wholeheartedly in serving the pilgrims. Dahnil noted that 374 Hajj officers from the first wave of the Madinah Working Area have returned to Indonesia, with the final group of 321 officers scheduled to arrive on Friday (3/7/2026). Speaking at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang on Thursday (2/7/2026) while welcoming the first wave, he said the 2026 Hajj officers have set an example for many countries and pilgrims. He revealed that appreciation for the officers’ performance came not only from Indonesian pilgrims but also from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which acknowledged the maximum assistance provided during the Hajj season. Dahnil also conveyed President Prabowo Subianto’s gratitude to all Hajj officers who served across various sectors, including Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, airports, and those working domestically.
