Indonesian Government Sends Ambassador in Tehran to Attend Ali Khamenei's Funeral

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has expressed its utmost appreciation for the invitation from the Iranian government to attend a series of memorial events honouring the late former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Indonesian government has designated the Indonesian Ambassador to Iran, Rolliansyah ‘Roy’ Soemirat, to attend the funeral procession. “In connection with this, the Indonesian Government has conveyed that Indonesia will be represented by the Indonesian Ambassador in Tehran,” said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang in Jakarta, Saturday (4/7/2026).
