Indonesian golfers leave for Taipei

JAKARTA (JP): A trio of golfers from Damai Indah club left
Jakarta yesterday for Taipei to play in the International Johnnie
Walker interclub tournament, due to tee off today and run until
tomorrow.

The Jakarta club, fielding Daniel Baladhika, Boyke Supian and
Eddy Sutrisno, was named Indonesia's representative in the
international tournament after edging 17 other teams in the
national qualifying competition at Pondok Indah golf course,
South Jakarta, on Sept. 1.

Prima Tri Susena, country manager of Riche Monde - Johnnie
Walker's Indonesian representative, said in a release that the
young golfers are expected to learn much from their outing.

Johnnie Walker also awarded Hamri L. from Sanggoleo club in
Southeast Sulawesi and Salgio from Lampung club a trip to Taipei
to watch the two-day competition as reward for their best scores
in last month's qualifying round. (yan)
