The CT Arsa Foundation collaborated with Koarmada RI and other stakeholders to carry out environmental cleanups and mangrove planting along the North Jakarta coastline, specifically in the Floating Houses area of Muara Angke, as part of commemorating Earth Day. Koarmada RI appreciated the concrete steps initiated by the CT Arsa Foundation.

Koarmada RI Commander Vice Admiral TNI Denih Hendrata, through his Territorial Assistant Rear Admiral TNI Budi Mulyadi, stated that this initiative represents concern for underprivileged communities. Vice Admiral Denih described the activity initiated by the CT Arsa Foundation as a tangible action combining educational and social aspects.

“The Gebrag Literasi Special Earth Day activity is a strategic collaboration that combines educational and social aspects. We welcome this initiative as a concrete step in carrying out the mandate to protect the earth, so it can be passed on to future generations,” said Vice Admiral Denih in his speech read by Rear Admiral Budi at the Floating Houses area of Muara Angke, Pluit, North Jakarta, on Saturday (25/4/2026).

Vice Admiral Denih conveyed that knowledge is the key to change. Literacy is not just about reading books, but also about understanding reality and acting based on that knowledge.

“This activity is expected to nurture the seeds of care in all our hearts. A better future does not come on its own, but is built through hands that are willing to share and care for each other,” he stated.

He also assessed the activity as very positive. According to him, the social initiative by the CT Arsa Foundation can preserve the environment for the future.

“We are not only planting mangroves, but also planting hope. Hopefully, this can continue,” he explained.

Furthermore, the activity is considered aligned with the government’s proclaimed principle of state defence. By protecting the environment, the community is already participating in state defence actions.

“State defence does not have to be about weapons on the stage. It can be done in any way, such as towards the environment or society, so that in the future, we hope with a healthy young generation, through the health checks earlier, they will become supporters of the nation’s strength from the community,” he added.

“So, in addition to appreciating this activity to all parties, we also hope that collaborations like this are very good, and we hope that things like this are maintained and developed so that in the future we will continue and always collaborate, so that society receives this not as an obligation but as a need,” he further remarked.
