Indonesian Embassy in Rome Holds Eid al-Adha Prayer and Distributes Sacrificial Meat Packages

Indonesian Embassy in Rome organised a congregational Eid al-Adha prayer attended by approximately 170 Indonesian citizens and diaspora members in Italy on Wednesday. In a written statement, the embassy noted an increase in participants compared to last year, reflecting the enthusiasm of the Indonesian community in Italy for celebrating Eid al-Adha together. As part of the celebrations, the embassy distributed sacrificial meat packages to all attendees for the first time in its history. ‘The distribution of sacrificial meat packages during Eid al-Adha is a tangible expression of the spirit of sharing and unity. We hope this activity strengthens ties among Indonesian citizens in Italy and brings a meaningful festive atmosphere despite being far from home,’ said Indonesian Ambassador to Italy Junimart Girsang in his speech after the congregational prayer. The Eid al-Adha prayer is part of the embassy’s programme to serve the Indonesian community in Italy, including religious and social activities. The event was warmly welcomed by all sections of the community, including Indonesians from diverse backgrounds who attended to celebrate this moment of togetherness.
