Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh Cancels Eid al-Fitr Prayer for 2026 Due to Regional Situation
In a statement posted on the official Instagram account of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, as monitored in Jakarta on Thursday, the embassy also advised Indonesian nationals to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at the nearest mosque, follow instructions from local authorities, and monitor official information from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Government and the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh. The embassy also expressed hopes that the entire community remains safe and can welcome Eid al-Fitr with reverence. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set Eid al-Fitr, or 1 Shawwal 1447 Hijri, to fall on Friday, 20 March 2026. According to the royal palace on Wednesday (18/3), the local Supreme Court has decided that Thursday is the last day of Ramadan, so Friday (20/3) will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr this year. The Supreme Court also extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, as well as all citizens, residents, and Muslims.
