The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Riyadh has stated that it will not hold a communal Eid prayer or Eid al-Fitr prayer for 1447 H/2026 AD due to the conflict situation in the Middle East region. This was announced on the KBRI Riyadh Instagram account, as quoted on Thursday (19/3). Nevertheless, Indonesian nationals (WNI) are urged to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the nearest mosque to their residence or domicile, following the directions of local authorities and paying attention to information from the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Jeddah has stated that it will still hold the Eid al-Fitr prayer for 1 Syawal 1447 H communally at the RI Consular Residence in Jeddah on Friday (20/3) local time. In addition to the Eid al-Fitr prayer, the KJRI will also host a community gathering for citizens. The Saudi Arabian government has set Eid al-Fitr or 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah to fall on Friday, 20 March 2026. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia decided on Thursday (19/3) that it was the last day of the month of Ramadan. Therefore, Friday (20/3) becomes Eid al-Fitr or 1 Syawal 1447 H.
