Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Officially Opens BIPA Programme for 2026

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur has officially opened the Indonesian Language for Foreigners (BIPA) course programme for the 2026 academic year.

In a statement received in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, the Indonesian Embassy stated that this programme represents an important milestone in linguistic diplomacy, intended to strengthen cultural relations between nations in Malaysia.

The opening ceremony was held online via the Zoom Meeting platform on Friday, 5 June 2026.

During the opening, the Education Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, R. Ahmad Romadhoni Surya Putra, stated that the embassy consistently conducts these BIPA courses on a regular annual basis.

Serving as the keynote speakers were Iwa Lukmana and Iyus Yusuf, acting as Coordinators of the Expertise and Professional Services Group (KKLP) for BIPA, representing the Language Development and Fostering Agency.

In his remarks, Iwa Lukmana expressed appreciation for the full support provided by the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, as well as for the participants of the BIPA course from various countries who showed great enthusiasm for the programme.

Iwa also specifically commended the BIPA teaching staff, who are educators from the Indonesian School Kuala Lumpur (SIKL).
