The Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Doha has urged all Indonesian nationals (WNI) in Qatar to remain calm and increase vigilance following recent developments in the region. The advisory was issued in an official announcement dated 28 February 2026.

In the statement, the KBRI requested Indonesian nationals to pay attention to all official announcements from the Qatar Government and their workplace institutions regarding developments in the area. “Please remain indoors or in a safe place and refrain from outdoor activities unless absolutely necessary,” the advisory stated.

Explosions rocked Tehran, the capital of Iran, on Saturday, 28 February 2026, following what US officials described to Al Jazeera as a joint operation with Israel. On the same day, explosions were also heard in Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Manama after Iran launched missiles towards Israel.

The KBRI Doha reminded Indonesian nationals to constantly monitor emergency alert messages from the Qatar Government and coordinate with Indonesian community nodes in their respective areas to obtain the latest information.

For Indonesian nationals facing emergency situations or requiring consular assistance, the KBRI requested they immediately contact the Indonesian mission. The KBRI Doha has also opened an emergency hotline service.

Additionally, Indonesian nationals in Qatar are asked to ensure they have registered themselves through the official “Peduli WNI” website to facilitate access to protection. The KBRI has also requested Indonesian nationals to verify and update their data through the WNI Qatar Data Update system, which can be accessed via the QR code provided in the announcement.
