Indonesian-Donated Iftar Meals Distributed to Gaza
Jakarta — Indonesia’s National Zakat Board (Baznas) has distributed 1,314 packages of iftar meals from Indonesian citizens to residents of Gaza, Palestine.
Speaking in Jakarta on Friday (27 February 2026), Baznas Chairman Noor Achmad stated that the distribution of iftar meal packages is a key priority for Baznas to ensure Palestinians can break their fast with adequate nutritional intake amid difficult conditions.
“Through these meal packages, we want to ensure our brothers and sisters there still have the strength to carry out their fasting worship and feel tangible support from the Indonesian people,” he said.
Noor noted that food needs in Gaza are crucial during this Ramadhan. Therefore, the distribution represents a strategic step to ensure food availability for Gaza residents amid logistical access limitations during the holy month.
“This aid package is a trust from the Indonesian people that must reach those in need immediately. Baznas is committed to continuing efforts to distribute assistance consistently to ensure basic needs of Gaza residents are met during this difficult fasting situation,” he stated.
