Indonesian Defence Minister Receives Courtesy Call from Qatari Ambassador
Indonesian Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin received a courtesy call from Qatari Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Dr. Sultan Bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari, at the Ministry of Defence office in Central Jakarta on Monday. During the meeting, both officials discussed international developments and other global dynamics. They also explored plans for defence cooperation between Indonesia and Qatar, which is believed to be mutually beneficial and will strengthen the military capabilities of both nations, enabling them to maintain a conducive situation in the region. Sjafrie stated that Indonesia and Qatar share a commitment to continuously build a strategic partnership based on mutual respect, mutual benefit, and contribution. The closed-door meeting proceeded warmly, with both Sjafrie and Sultan Bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari seen exchanging smiles during their conversation. At the end of the meeting, Sjafrie, representing the Ministry of Defence, presented a plaque to Sultan Bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari. Sjafrie expressed hope that the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Qatar, particularly in the military sector, would grow closer and warmer following the meeting.
