Indonesian Companies Begin Preparing Agentic AI Infrastructure
The growing need for more integrated artificial intelligence (AI) utilisation is driving the development of agentic automation technology. This technology is considered capable of helping companies automate increasingly complex business processes while improving operational efficiency.
Amid this trend, Drife, a subsidiary of IDstar Group, has obtained UiPath Platinum Partner status as well as UiPath Agentic Automation Fast Track Partner. This recognition strengthens the company’s position in developing AI-based automation solutions for the corporate sector in Indonesia.
According to the UiPath 2025 Agentic AI Report, 90 percent of information technology executives believe their organisation’s business processes can be improved through agentic AI. Meanwhile, 77 percent stated they are ready to invest in the technology this year.
IDstar Group CEO Ferdinand Prasetyo said the need for automation is no longer limited to repetitive tasks. “We see more and more companies requiring automation that not only handles repetitive tasks, but also connects data, systems, people, robots, and AI agents into a smarter workflow. With the support of the UiPath ecosystem, we now have stronger capabilities to help organisations build automation that is scalable, measurable, and impactful for business operations,” Ferdinand said on Tuesday (23/6/2026).
Agentic automation combines AI, automation, and orchestration to help companies manage business processes in a more integrated manner. This technology allows AI agents, robots, and humans to work within the same workflow while maintaining human oversight in the decision-making process.
Unlike conventional automation that focuses on individual tasks, agentic automation is directed at managing business processes end-to-end, including activities that require contextual analysis and cross-system coordination.
Regional Vice President and Managing Director Southeast Asia UiPath Amit Khandelwal said the technology is expected to play an increasingly significant role in corporate operational transformation. “Agentic automation is a significant opportunity for organisations that want to transform the way they work. Moreover, AI agents are projected to generate economic value of up to 450 billion US dollars by 2028,” said Amit.
According to him, the adoption of this technology requires partners who can translate AI innovation into implementations that are relevant to business needs.
Going forward, Drife and IDstar will develop agentic automation implementations across various business functions, ranging from finance, document management, customer service, human resources, compliance, and reporting, to cross-system business processes that require data orchestration and more complex decision-making.
The development of agentic automation reflects a shift in the direction of digital transformation in the corporate sector, from mere process digitalisation towards deeper AI integration to improve productivity, efficiency, and the quality of decision-making.
