PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), also known as BKI, the parent holding company of BPI Danantara’s operations, has reaffirmed its commitment to broadening its network of collaborations with regional and global maritime industry players, while introducing the company’s role and capabilities on the international stage.

BKI’s President Director, R. Benny Susanto, stated that through the Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2026 exhibition and conference in Singapore, the company seeks to promote direct interactions with various industry stakeholders, including shipping business operators, the offshore sector, and marine technology developers.

“Through participation in Asia Pacific Maritime 2026, BKI demonstrates its commitment to continued engagement in the development of the global maritime industry and to expanding Indonesia’s role within the international maritime ecosystem,” said Benny in his statement on Friday, 27 March 2026.

He explained that BKI’s involvement in this event stems from Asia Pacific Maritime being one of the leading maritime forums in the Asian region, bringing together industry players from various countries.

“This exhibition and conference discusses developments in shipbuilding, workboats, the offshore sector, and maritime technology, including the advancement of electric and hybrid marine systems,” Benny stated.

As part of the activities, the BKI delegation also visited several exhibition booths, including those of the Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA) and the Indonesian Shipbuilding and Offshore Facilities Industry Association (IPERINDO), which represent Indonesia in the forum.

“This visit is part of efforts to strengthen synergies among national industry players on the international stage,” he added.

On this occasion, BKI also paid a visit to the office of Weichai Group. Weichai Group is a global company engaged in engine production, including marine engines.

This visit forms part of efforts to open opportunities for information exchange and to explore collaborations that support the development of the maritime industry.
