Indonesian Business Actors Seek Global Cooperation at the Xiamen Forum, Potential Transactions Reach Tens of Billions

JAKARTA - Indonesian business actors are exploring cross-country cooperation opportunities in the B2B Matchmaking Sessions forum held in Xiamen, China, in early April 2026. This forum brings together hundreds of companies from various regions, ranging from China, the Middle East, North America to Europe.

A number of strategic sectors are the focus of exploration, including renewable energy, smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology.

PT Arsewi Nusantara Investama together with Feihuang Group became one of the parties that brought a delegation of Indonesian entrepreneurs to directly participate in business negotiations. A total of 24 entrepreneurs from various regions participated, ranging from Aceh, Medan, Palembang, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali to West Nusa Tenggara.

President Director of Arsewi Nusantara Investama Zainul Yasni assessed that this kind of business forum is not only bringing business actors together, but also becoming the initial door to the formation of long-term partnerships.

“This is not just a business meeting. This is an opportunity to build a foundation for a long-term, mutually beneficial collaboration,” said Zainul, Monday, April 20.

According to him, Indonesia has great potential in the global economic map, especially driven by the large population, the growth of the middle class, and the acceleration of the digital economy.

However, this potential needs to be supported by global collaboration, especially with countries that have strength in the production and technology sectors.

“China has very strong production and technological power, while Indonesia has great and growing industrialization potential. The collaboration between the two can create an mutually reinforcing economic ecosystem,” said Zainul.

He added that this step is also in line with the government’s policy direction in encouraging industrial downstream, increasing exports, and the entry of foreign investment.

In this forum, dozens of business collaborations have entered the initial agreement stage. Meanwhile, dozens of others are still in the process of further exploration. The value of potential transactions generated is estimated to reach tens of billions of rupiah.

For business actors, this forum is an opportunity to access technology, global distribution networks, to more integrated business models.

Even so, Zainul assessed that the main challenge was not only on market access, but the readiness of national business actors to develop.

“Many of our entrepreneurs need to be upgraded. For this reason, collaboration is the key, both domestically and with global partners. We can’t go it alone,” he said.

He also alluded to China’s experience in building industrialization in a structured and collaborative manner as a lesson for Indonesia.

“This is an opportunity for us to open ourselves up, expand the market, and strengthen Indonesia’s position in global trade,” said Zainul.

In the future, Arsewi Nusantara Investama plans to continue similar forums as an effort to expand international business networks as well as encourage the strengthening of Indonesia’s position in the global supply chain.
