ammunition in luggage[
An Indonesian businessman was arrested at Malaysia's main airport
after security officials found four bullets in his luggage, a
news report said on Friday.
The 33-year old man and his family were heading back to
Jakarta on Tuesday after a holiday at a casino resort in central
Malaysia when he was arrested during a routine security check at
the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Sun reported citing
unidentified police sources.
The businessman told airport security officers that the
ammunition, normally used for small handguns, was given to him by
a policeman friend in Jakarta several months ago, the report
said.
The businessman said he forgot to remove the bullets from his
bag when he traveled to Malaysia. Airport security officials
handed him over to the police, the report said.
Police officials were not immediately available for comment
and it was not clear if the businessman had been charged.
Malaysia has strict laws on firearms with provisions for
lengthy jail terms for those convicted of having ammunition and
guns without a license. --AP
