Jakarta — The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the US Chamber of Commerce (USCC) held a business meeting in Washington DC, United States, resulting in a series of business cooperation agreements signed by entrepreneurs from both sides.

The signing of 11 agreements, witnessed directly by President Prabowo, represented a total cooperation value of US$38.4 billion, equivalent to approximately Rp648.9 trillion (based on an exchange rate of Rp16,900 per US dollar).

Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Bakrie expressed appreciation for President Prabowo's role at the forefront of promoting economic cooperation between Indonesia and the United States.

"We understand that in the near future there will be the signing of a trade cooperation agreement, which on one hand seeks to balance trade whilst simultaneously increasing it. This is very significant," said Anindya in a statement on Friday, 20 February 2026.

He explained that beyond promoting trade balance, President Prabowo is also focused on increasing two-way investment between Indonesia and the US.

"But most importantly, Indonesia is recognised by the US as a stable country, a safe country, a developing country. But not just developing — developing inclusively. Developing together, raising the welfare of society as a whole," he said.

He added that the business cooperation agreements made directly between Indonesian and American entrepreneurs covered sectors ranging from critical mineral industry development through to agriculture.

The Indonesia-US Business Summit began with an Exclusive Business Roundtable to discuss the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two nations through government and business collaboration across various sectors.

The discussion also focused on implementation plans for the outcomes of reciprocal trade agreement negotiations between Indonesia and the US, particularly addressing how the business and industrial sectors of both countries can benefit from policy relaxation to strengthen investment and trade cooperation.

The following are the 11 agreements signed between Indonesian and American business leaders:

1. Memorandum of Agreement on Critical Minerals, signed by Investment and Downstream Processing Minister/BKPM Head Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Freeport-McMoRan President and CEO Kathleen Quirk, and PT Freeport Indonesia President Director Tony Wenas.
